We will again print the names of those in whose memory the flowers have been donated. Please return the envelope by Friday April 1st. We will not be able to add any names received after April 1st as the list will be sent to the printer. To insure the correct spelling, PLEASE PRINT NAMES ON THE ENVELOPE ~ Thank you!
So often at this time of year we remember our departed relatives and friends. A lovely way to do this is to remember them with Christmas Flowers for our altars. If you would like to do this, please drop your Christmas Flower envelope in the collection basket or pick up an envelope in the church and return it to the rectory. Giving Trees- Join us as a parish community by participating in our giving trees. Our trees are set up in the Parish & Shrine Churches or you can visit our website with names to adopt. Look at www.stanthonysyfm.com/givingtrees. The gifts will help to bring joy to our neighbors and will going to Catholic Charities, Good Counsel, Midnight Run and Birthright. Please return gifts going to Catholic Charities by December 1st and all others by December 19th in the boxes in both churches. There will be a note on the ornament if it is for Catholic Charities. St. Anthony's Youth Ministry is having its annual wreath & grave blanket fundraiser. Would you help support our group? The proceeds will be used to defer the costs of servicing the less fortunate. Due to raising prices and a shortage of supplies, our prices are only guaranteed through October 31st. Our wreaths are $22, small flat blankets are $30 and medium flat blankets are $38. There is a $5 fee to place any item on a grave in the cemetery. Just let us know the name of the deceased and the location in the cemetery. All pre-orders can be dropped off at the rectory attention: youth group or placed on the youth group’s website. The deadline for all pre-orders is November 1st. In a few weeks, rehearsals for St. Anthony’s Junior Choir will resume. All boys and girls in grades 5-12 are invited. Not only will your child(ren) be receiving an invaluable experience in music education, they also have the opportunity to learn more about the liturgy, and to serve as leaders. By singing in a choir, children “will be better prepared for their eventual role as adult members of the worshiping assembly” (STL55) Our first rehearsal will take place on Sunday, September 26th in the Parish Church from 2:00- 3:00pm. As we take another step forward in our return to normal - Starting Monday, June 28th there will be one section for social distancing in both the Shrine and the Parish. All other sections of the Shrine and Parish Churches will be open seating. For those who are not vaccinated, it is recommended that you wear a mask under current guidelines from the Archdiocese and others. To save money, we are changing Rectory office hours. We will no longer have young men and women in the office after 4:00PM from Monday to Friday beginning June 21st. We will continue to have them on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30AM to 7:00PM. You will be able to get Mass Cards on Saturday or Sunday; or, during Office hours from Monday to Friday.
Father’s Day Cards are available in back of Church. The large cards are for the living and the small envelopes are for the deceased fathers. Please return intention envelopes by Wednesday, June 16th, to have your fathers remembered in the Masses on Sunday, June 20th.
If you would like to be included in the Novena, please list your petitions on the envelopes that are provided in the Shrine and Parish Churches. Please place the petitions in the collection baskets in the Parish Church or in the box by the St. Anthony statue in the Shrine Church or drop off at the Rectory door mail slot by June 2nd. Your petitions will be placed on the altar during the novena. Due to Covid there are some changes to our normal novena schedule. Please see future bulletinS for this years novena schedule.
