Planning has begun for our Annual St. Anthony’s Feast. We are looking for your help in preparing food for this event – Around the World in my Backyard. Last year the following ethnic groups participated: Albanian, American, Filipino, German, Hattian, Irish, Italian, and Latin American(including food form Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras,Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela). In past years we also had Chinese,Indian, and Polish food. This year we hope to add more groups to highlight our diverse parish population. St. Anthony’s Youth Ministry is taking pre‐orders of palm crosses through March 29th. We will have a limited number for sale on the day of pickup. Orders can be dropped off at the Rectory, or email us [email protected]. Make checks payable to At. Anthony’s Church or contact us to VENMO/ZELLE the payment. If you would like us to place the cross on the grave let us know the name of the deceased and location in the cemetery. Pickup April 5th before & after 5 PM Mass & April 6th from 7:30 AM ‐ 1:00 PM

Altar Easter Flower Envelopes are available in both churches for donations in memory of deceased loved ones. We will again print the names of those in whose memory the flowers have been donated. Please return the envelope by Monday, March 31st. We will not be able to add any names received after March 31st as the list will be sent to the publisher. Please print names CLEARLY AND LEGIBLY on the Envelope.

St. Anthony’s Seniors meet on Wednesdays between 12:00 PM & 3:00 PM in the Shrine Church Hall. There is a side door on the right side of the shrine church and an elevator is available to use. We have coffee ‐ tea ‐ rolls & celebrate birthdays. We also go to lunches at restaurants in Pearl River, Nanuet, and New City. Come & see what we are about & maybe find some new friends.

Our next scheduled production will be “She Loves me”. Save the Date: April 25th and April 26th at 7 PM and April 27th at 3 pm. More information to follow as date gets closer. Parents, please encourage your children to join our Youth Choir, which meets once a week on Sundays from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm. Not only will your children receive invaluable experience in choral singing and develop foundational skills such as music theory, ear training, and sight-singing, but they will also learn more about liturgy and provide musical leadership in several masses throughout the year. In addition, advanced Choristers will have the opportunity to take individual lessons and cantor at the 7:00 pm Sunday masses. Our first open rehearsal will be in the Parish Church on Sunday, October 27th at 2:00pm. The Dominican Sisters of Sparkill is holding a Pajama & Book Drive collecting for local area programs. NEW infant, youth and adult pajamas along with NEW child appropriate books are greatly appreciated. A bin will be located in the church from Oct. 13 to Nov. 3. Help to make a loving bedtime, a peaceful good night and positive good day.

June is fast approaching. On Sunday June 9, 2024 St. Anthony’s Feast Celebration will take place. We at St. Anthony’s are blessed to have a multicultural heritage in our congregation. This makes for a variety of international foods which we all enjoy. We are looking for “ambassadors” who can plan, coordinate as group leaders and/or servers who can help put this wonderful feast together. Calling the youth of St. Anthony's!! The youth group invites all 8th-12th graders of the parish to join us for New York Catholic Youth Day on April 27th. The day will consist of engaging speakers, Eucharistic adoration, and even a service event! The Mass will be celebrated by the leader of the Archdiocese, Cardinal Timothy Dolan and live music will be played throughout. The theme this year is Revealed. ST. ANTHONY’S PARISH PLAYERS PRESENT “GODSPELL” ThisspringtheannualproductionbytheParishPlayerswillbeStephenSchwartz’stuneful“Godspell”. OriginallyopeningOff-Broadway in 1971, the show is built around a series of parables based on the Gospel of St. Mathew. Musically, the show employs multiple styles, ranging from folk to gospel to rock, incorporating fun and humor throughout. Three performances will be given in the St. Anthony School Auditorium – on Friday, April 19, 2024 starting at 7 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2024 starting at 7 pm, and Sunday, April 21, 2024 starting at 3 pm. Ticket prices for each performance are $15 (adults) and $12 (seniors or children under 12 years). Tickets may be ordered by email at [email protected] or by phone at 845-634-0153. They may also be purchased at the door prior to performance (doors open one hour before curtain time).
